Residents in Byrness were outraged at the abrupt closure of the doctors? surgery. For well over 40 years, the twice weekly surgery had been conducted in Ian and Maureen Scott?s living room in South Green by doctors from the Harbottle practice. The local shop closed and they lost their petrol station in January.
