The bravery of a Rochester man was recognised after he rescued nine people from a fire at the Redesdale Arms Hotel. Stephen Little was awarded with the chief officer?s commendation for bravery at a ceremony at County Hall, Morpeth. Mr. Little smelled gas from a cylinder, which ignited, blowing him and his friend into a nearby garden. While his friend called emergency services, Mr. Little ensured that everyone in the pub left safely.
