Kielder public hall was packed to capacity when the annual concert and dance was held in aid of the schoolchildren?s holiday fund. Some people walked ten miles over the fells to attend the acclaimed event, which included solos, sketches, pupil performances and a popular recitation by Mrs. McWhirter of Rabby Doo.
