The show ring of Bellingham Mart hosted its last event, a production of She Stoops to Conquer by the Bellingham Amateur Dramatic Society. The offer from the Mart to hand over the ring free of charge was turned down because of problems in demolishing, storing and re-erecting the corrugated iron structure.
