An old woman named Isabella Johnson on Wednesday 17th April 1912 celebrated her 100th birthday in the Workhouse, Bellingham, of which she had been an inmate for the past two years. Mrs. S. L. Wilkinson of Riverdale kindly entertained the inmates to tea in honour of the event.
