Bardon Mill and Melkridge
Date: 1996-04-21
100-plus New Age travellers paid a visit to Tynedale for the first time, setting up camp for six weeks at Thorngrafton Common near Bardon Mill, after being evicted from a site near Consett. Within a few weeks, dogs owned by the travellers were being blamed for a number of attacks on sheep in the area.
