The retirement of Mrs. Mary ?Poppy? Bell from the Fox and Hounds in Bardon Mill, who had been a tenant for the past 30 years, after succeeding her cousin Mrs. Nancarrow. The inn had been run by members of the same family for over 60 years and the new tenant, Mr. Kenneth Scott, is a distant relative of Mrs. Bell, who was a keen bell ringer.
